Kids Emotional Wellness Classes

A kids emotional wellness program, both virtually and in person, offering a safe place for big conversations and a whole lot of self-expression!

We explore our multi-faceted feelings and healthy ways to celebrate them

Meet the program founder

It was while teaching in a traditional classroom setting that Krista realized the need for a more holistic approach to education. She realized the missing piece was emotional wellness education. That was when Krista made it her mission to fill that gap with a wellness program that was accessible to any child, anywhere. She created Kind Spirit Kids to help kids learn how to navigate their emotions and to give them the tools to be able to express themselves in a healthy way.

Parent Testimonials

Here's what parents are saying about
Kind Spirit Kids:

"Our daughter looks forward to KSK every week. It's the ideal environment for any child to develop an awareness of their emotional and creative selves - areas that are so overlooked and undervalued in traditional educational programs. We are grateful to have this program available for our little one and for Krista's passion and loving energy."

"My son loves attending! The freedom of expression and safety these classes bring had a huge impact on him and he had such a fun educational time well getting to know new friends 10/10!"

"After having my daughter enrolled with Kind Spirit Kids I could see what a huge value this program held for youth. I love that it involves physical well-being, creative perspective and social emotional development. These are all so important and can often be overlooked in other youth programming. Thank you so much for what you do."

"Where would I have been without Krista's help? Well, probably a walking zombie and pulling my hair out. Haha. My daughter still woke up anywhere between 2-4 times per night and my husband and I fought with her during naptime. It would take us anywhere from 30mins-1.5 hours to get her to sleep. Thankfully Krista gave us the tools to cope with it and help her progress. Now it's a breeze! My daughter is asleep within minutes of her head hitting the pillow. I still can't believe it some days. Even though sleep was our biggest hurdle, Krista helped with night weaning and the constant meltdowns around dinnertime. Obviously we still get meltdowns, but now we have some great tips, tricks and methods to deal with it and they have become few and far between. The best part about this, besides all the great changes my daughter has made with Krista's help, is that she still keeps in touch. Krista clearly loves what she does and really cares. She's so kind and patient and everything she recommended was nurturing, calming, and gentle, but still fun. I didn't cry once out of frustration during the process and the changes and I didn't feel guilty about anything because my child was happy with it all. After the first day she was a happier and calmer kid and it only got better from there. One last thing, this was ALL OVER THE PHONE! I still have yet to meet Krista face to face. Crazy right? I can't thank you enough, Krista."

She uses a variety of resources to seamlessly create a plan of action to address the areas of concern for families all while keeping her mindful parenting philosophy and respecting the philosophy of the family. No judgements. No criticism. Just support and a fresh perspective. Thank you for all your help and support Krista! We love you! :)"

"Watching my child grow in confidence and emotional regulation through KSK classes has been magical. The space created for creativity, meditation, stories, discussion and art allows the kids to be truly engaged with a caring adult who is teaching them a new way to experience the world. Thank you Krista for all you do."

"We love Wednesday's. There are so many reasons why it's hard to put into words. Krista is an amazing teacher/guide. I think I take in just as much as the kids do from her lessons. The community is beautiful. I have been longing for a village and as soon as I walked through the doors we were welcomed and felt right at home. Feeling very grateful"

"Krista offers expert advice with such compassion and humility - she is a gift. I recently reached out to Krista because I was struggling with how to best support my passionate, determined, and often explosive four year old. My husband and I were disagreeing on the best approach and I have long turned to Krista when at an impasse. Sure enough, Krista heard our concerns with open heartedness and gave advice with her typical mix of knowledge and grace. We left with concrete strategies and positive encouragement feeling confident and hopeful. Most importantly, we were able to move forward as a team. Krista speaks from the heart because she lives what she teaches. I have never met another person so committed to supporting not only her own children but everyone in her community. My family is so grateful to her for all she's taught us over the years."

"This gem of a human facilitates a class my children take and their lives are so enriched because of it. Like good for the mind, body and soul stuff. Helping them navigate emotions and feelings that children aren't normally encouraged to explore. Incorporating through play the ability to move and process emotions, with yoga, breath work and art work. Can you seriously imagine the world we would live in today, if everyone had someone like this in their lives, helping to guide them through emotional regulation and connection with self and others. I am eternally grateful for doing this thing called life along side this women and the gifts she bestows in the heart, and mind of my babies. Honestly check out her class. She offers it virtually so you don't even have to be local to us. Gift your children the gift that Kind Spirit Kids is and watch them develop compassion, communication, empathy, and a deeper knowing of self."

"The girls started attending Kind Spirit Kids last year and I cannot say enough great things about it. Krista's affection, education and the valuable lessons she is teaching my girls through yoga and mindfulness is amazing. She is the epitome of a kind spirit and we are so very grateful for her and her teachings. The favorite part of my girls week is going to Krista's.💖"

What are BIG conversations?

Anything that involves an emotional response of some kind.

We share about our experiences, our dreams, our imaginations and our ideas!

Is this a yoga class?

Movement is an important part of the program, teaching children that moving their bodies will always support them in procressing their feelings. Sometimes that's yoga and sometimes it's dancing, running, or jumping.

What is the structure of the program?

I always go into a class with an open mind. My first goal of each day I teach is to meet the kids where they’re at.

Each class looks different week to week but incorporates the same 5 pillars: Movement, Connection, Space, Breath Work, and Creative Expression.

How many classes are in a Term?

There are 13 classes in a term.

1 class per week

There are typically two terms a year: September-December & March-June

How much does it cost?

KSK: $220 / student / term
Siblings discount $400 for two / term

Coaching: $100 / session
$275 / 3 sessions

Will I get as much from a virtual class?

Yes! Virtual classes offer smaller class sizes. This allows for deep connections and relationships to form. I have many students who have been attending for several years, growing with the program and each other.
